Student's Reflection:

         When I started going to EOK, I was studying at Grade 6 and just turned 11. I came here in July 2021 and was able to finish my IGCSE Math exam in 2022 May. I gained a lot of knowledge here and learnt things way more quickly than I did at school. Learning at EOK was a challenging yet enjoyable process: I got to learn Math that is 6 years ahead of my age! I also learnt teamwork and made a lot of new friends. When learning at EOK, I have a lot of fun with my teachers and classmates. I also learnt that challenging can be fun too, especially when we have peers working together in the same environment. My next goal is to do the A-Level. Doing the A-Level is a challenging process, but I am looking forward to it. 

Student's Reflection:

         The first time that I came to EOK to learn, I thought that it was just going to be another school that I had to go to after my normal school. After the first 15 minutes of learning here, I had realised that this was much different to the school that I was used to. It was much more interactive than at school, where you had to listen to the teacher drone on and on about the given assignment, and then giving you a worksheet to slowly chew through and complete. But here, there are tailor made programs that are both fun and interesting, and I have enjoyed almost every minute that I spend here with the tutors, doing programs that suited my learning style. After my amazing score that I got on my IGCSE Math exams, I was encouraged to continue to pursue the knowledge that comes with EOK.

        During the three years that I have been training and accumulating my knowledge here, I feel that I have learnt a lot. Not only that, but I have also made friends with my academic peers. They are mostly older than me, but have a similar gifted background to me. I underwent an intensive course during this time, usually coming about 17-18 hours per week, in order to prepare for my GCE AS and A2 maths, and also for my IGCSE English exams. Although it was an intensive course, I still get to learn at my own pace, so that I can retain the knowledge for much longer than at school, where they either teach it all too quickly or too slowly. There are lots of discussions between me and my mentor, and it is a two way discussion. If I ask a question, then the information that I receive is much more in depth than what is actually required in the syllabus. In the end, it all paid off, when I passed with flying marks. I have enjoyed the overall process. The class is not always just work; there is a lot laughter and jokes that are passed around by both students and the teachers.

        Now, after I have finished my GCE A2 Maths at age 10 and my GCE AS Physics at age 11, I am preparing for my upcoming GCE A2 Physics exams. I feel that EOK has helped me greatly in helping me to pursue this extremely difficult task at such a young age. Special thanks must go to the tutors of EOK that have helped me to achieve this amazing feat, especially Dr Ma for encouraging me! Now that I am preparing for upcoming Physics exams now, EOK has yet another challenge ahead of them; helping me to get a perfect score on A2, to complete my academic journey. The EOK team is helping me to select a suitable university, working with me on how to write my personal statement, and helping me to prepare for the process.

Parent's Reflection:

        My son has joined the Gifted Child Program at EOK since November 2011. I observe how my child has been eagerly learning the new and advanced knowledge which is 7 years beyond his grade. I am also surprised and glad to see that he doesn't find it repelling to attend the classes almost every day. The eagerness and motivation that he has gained here demonstrate the success of the gifted program. Thanks to EOK for all the efforts being put on my son.

Student's Reflection:

        Having got an A* in my IGCSE exam last year has really given me a great encouragement. And this year I joined further IGCSE training at EOK and sat for the Math and English as First Language exams. The learning experience was very challenging as most of the knowledge is new to me. But I am so lucky to have guidance from EOK teachers and they help me see the strengths and talents in me. Thanks so much to all their efforts and dedication.

Student's Reflection:

        EOK has taught me a lot of knowledge. It has the best programme for learning, and the teachers here are nice and caring. After I've joined EOK, I have had a significant improvement in my Math. Most importantly, I only spent one and a half month this summer to finish Grade 11 Physics. I am having my best time here.
